In your opinion.

Opinions are like arseholes.. everybody has one.

Personally I (and nearly everybody else i know) love it.

    a bit harsh there dont you think?

Yeah was a bit, soz mate. I was partly joking there but it wasn't meant to imply anything bad about you, more that 'beauty is in the eye... ' and all that.

Thanks for the plug Del. :good:

Today, I realised just how ungrateful, selfish and downright hurtful teenage children can be. I've spent a lot of money and time lately on buying WW2 wargaming miniatures and painting them all to a high standard, making scenery and learning rules, so that I can share a common interest with my son and spend the kind of time with him that my old man never did with me. His reply? Can I go on the PC and play "Company of Heroes"? To say the least, I'm not best pleased and am currently photographing all of said wargaming miniatures, so I can stick them on Ebay and spend the proceeds in a way that suits me, ie, on alcohol!

Pete, wait until he gets bored over the holidays, he'll be interested then. Especially if you tell him the computers broke. :giggle: Are they Flames of war ones? They caught my eye in a shop the other week. I nearly bought some but I realised I don't have anyone to play against and I'd just be buying them because they look cool.

I have quite a large FoW British 8th Army force.

The game is excellent fun, but I too struggle for opponents at the moment. My regular opponent went off to work for the British Museum and only comes back up to the real world every weekend.

BTW, Wladek and Lipton also have armies.

Sounds like I may be worth getting some then. Although I quite fancied the Russians. We could organise a wargaming day then. Wargaming saturday, booze up in the evening, airsoft game on sunday. Sounds like a good weekend to me.

It is all FOW stuff. I've stuck all of the American stuff on Ebay and already sold most of it. I'm busy finishing off the painting of the German stuff, so I can photograph that, to sell it too. If any of you guys need any German stuff, scenery, rulebooks, dice, etc, drop me a pm.

Sound like my Hungarians.

Mine are all 20mm plastics (Revell and Emhar WW1 Germans painted different )with some metal figures for the support weapons, based for Rapid Fire.

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.
